Under the Skin: Book Talk with Linda Villarosa

July 22nd @ 7:00 pm

Free

Presented by the North Fork Chapter of Coming to the Table.

Please join us for an evening with the award-winning New York Times Magazine writer and contributor to the 1619 Project, Linda Villarosa. She will be reading from her newly published, critically acclaimed landmark book that tells the full story of racial health disparities in America, revealing the toll racism takes on individuals and the health of our nation.

Linda is a contributing writer at the New York Times Magazine, where she covers the intersection of race, inequality and health. She is a professor at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism with a joint appointment at the CUNY School of Medicine. Her book “Under the Skin: The Hidden Toll of Racism on American Lives and on the Health of Our Nation” was published by Doubleday in June.

The discussion will be facilitated by longtime Orient resident and New York Times Bestselling author Liz Welch.
