Daniel A. Grande, Ph.D. will explore the different types of stem cells, their biology and how they can be used in the field of regenerative medicine. Questions will be addressed including: What is a stem cell? How do stem cells work? What diseases have shown promise by the application of stem cell technology? Grande is an Associate Professor, Center for Bioelectronic Medicine, The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research; Director, Orthopaedic Research Laboratory, Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
