Wake Smith will discuss the reasons why overshooting the 1.5C and 2C targets is unavoidable, what the environmental and economic consequences of doing so will be, and what additional tools the world may need to address this situation. Wake Smith is a Lecturer in Yale College and a Research Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. At Yale, he teaches the world’s first undergraduate survey course on climate engineering.
