Respite Care Offered For Those Helping People With Cognitive Issues
GREENPORT, NY — Caring for someone with cognitive impairments isn’t easy and often, some feel there is no time to rejuvenate and unwind, without worrying about a loved one’s well-being. To that end, Peconic Landing has launched a new respite care program in its memory support community, Harbor South. The new program offers short-term stays for individuals living with cognitive impairments while their loved ones and caregivers are able to take a break — giving them time to travel, work, or simply rest.
