Benefits & Work-Life Balance
Healthy, happy team members make healthy, happy members.
Here at Peconic Landing, we know that the greatest asset we have in serving our mission is our team. We take great pride in making sure that our team members feel valued, experience joy in the workplace, and have continuous opportunities to learn and grow.
Peconic Landing offers a comprehensive benefits program that includes health insurance, dental and vision plans, life insurance, long- and short-term disability, paid time off (vacation, sick/personal days and holidays), tuition assistance and a 403(b) retirement plan to which Peconic Landing contributes matching funds. All team members are given the opportunity to participate in our award-winning Working Wonders program, a work-life balance program that encourages embracing whole-person wellness by incorporating positive lifestyle behaviors into daily life.
Our team is motivated to succeed by a results-oriented philosophy that’s founded on empowerment and joy in the workplace. By focusing on continuous development, we encourage each other to set and achieve goals – both individual and collective. The result? A tradition of excellence built on a foundation of inspired teamwork.
Health and Wellness
Employees at Peconic Landing can benefit from team activities such as yoga and meditation classes, TRX classes, Tennis Tuesdays, and other rotating fitness opportunities throughout the year. Walking and exercise challenges are sprinkled through the seasons. We even host our very own 5K right on campus each spring!
Launched to encourage team members to embrace whole-person wellness, Working Wonders suggests quick and easy ways to incorporate positive lifestyle behaviors. The program integrates all aspects of a person’s life – work, family, personal interests, body, mind and spirit. After earning points in Physical, Social, Intellectual, and Spiritual activities, participants are rewarded with PL gear and other prizes. Our Working Wonders program has received the “Best Practice Award” from LeadingAge New York.
Peconic Landing’s Teamwork Committee is dedicated to promoting joy in the workplace, one of our five core values. From our week-long “PL Games” each spring and fall, to costume contests, golf outings and off-campus soirées, there’s always an opportunity to have fun with your teammates.
Here at Peconic Landing, we are passionate about helping others and giving back to the greater community. Those who wish to support this mission can participate in our annual fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association, our annual John May Mile and 5K to benefit the Greenport Fire Department, or a host of other volunteer opportunities.
